The Daily Show correspondent Wyatt Cenac, exposes the business rivalry between two iphone application developers. The feud developed over similar and successful iphone applications, the humorous iFart and Pull My Finger. Eric Stratton created the original Pull My Finger application for the iphone, which peaked at second on itunes most popular applications list. Joel Comm of Infomedia later entered the market with the iFart application. It became a best seller on itunes and was more successful than Stratton's. Stratton's lawyers sent a cease and desist letter to infomedia. The phrase, "pull my finger," is not trademarked, yet Stratton faults Mr. Comm with engaging in misleading advertising while using the phrase. Nevertheless, Stratton insists that his application was a pioneer in the industry and paved the way for hundreds of similar applications.
BPCouncil member Kevin Houchin of Houchin and Associates is the attorney and legal representation for Infomedia.
