Scotch Whisky to Get Protection from Imitation Products
Scotch is supposed to be from Scotland, but over 200 counterfeit versions have been made in China in the past two years alone – bad news for legitimate Scotch makers who rely a lot on sales in the Chinese market. French Enact Law Against Filesharers
The French have passed a new law to help prevent illegal file sharing. The legislation gives authorities the power to decide whether a site is deemed illegal, and then to require the ISPs to block it. The blog discusses both the positive and negative implications of the law.

Companies in China have been known to copy Western inventions, making it the leading country in intellectual property theft.
