SEATTLE - Oberon Media, the world’s leading multi-platform casual-games company, unveiled its new, patent-pending marketing tool, SweetSpot Technology.
A press release by the company stated that SweetSpot Technology combines a state-of-the-art personalization engine with advanced heuristics and an adaptive UI framework to bring one-to-one marketing to downloadable casual games.
Typically, as many as 70 percent of players who purchase downloadable games do so within the game wrapper. This poses a challenge to marketers, who can only deliver marketing messages to players until the game is downloaded and the trial period begins.
SweetSpot Technology analyzes the probability of the player to purchase a game at any moment, then modifies the user interface and delivers coupons, cross-promotions, extended trials and other customized offers.
Game marketers can now bring the right message to the right player at the right time, and closer to the moment of the purchase decision than ever before.
SweetSpot Technology is currently in beta and is already in being tested on several partner sites. Oberon plans to roll out the solution to all its partners free of charge later this year.
