LONDON - The UK Intellectual Property Office (UK-IPO) announced in a Monday press release the appointment of Peter Holland as the new Director of International Policy.

Holland will commence his appointment on the August 18, 2008.

Prior to joining the UK-IPO, Holland worked for the Cabinet Office as Head of the Afghanistan Strategy Team.

“I am delighted with this new appointment. Peter will add a breadth of talent and experience to the UK-IPO,” UK-IPO Chief Executive Ian Fletcher said.

“It is essential that in our policy work we make full use of the resources and talents of the Foreign Commonwealth Office. Peter is joining the office at an exciting time as we prepare help UK companies to compete in the global economy,” he concluded.
