MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - Synopsys Inc., a world leader in semiconductor design software, announced in a Monday press release that it has completed its acquisition of the semiconductor Intellectual Property (IP) assets of MOSAID Technologies Inc., a developer and licensor of semiconductor IP.

The integration of MOSAID's Double Data Rate (DDR) memory controller and PHY semiconductor IP products into Synopsys' DesignWare IP portfolio will further expand the breadth of Synopsys' standards-based connectivity IP solutions. The final purchase price for the acquisition was $15.3 million.

The company delivers technology-leading system and semiconductor design and verification platforms, IC manufacturing and yield optimization solutions, semiconductor intellectual property and design services to the global electronics market.
