Clarence Chu, a graduate of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, has over 13 years' of experience in brand protection.

He is now the head of the Technical Products Group at Leonhard Kurz (Far East) Ltd., overseeing the Asia Pacific and Greater China areas.

During his years in the brand protection field, Mr. Chu provided various anti-counterfeiting solutions being applied on products such as cigarettes, pharmaceuticals, security cards, tickets, cosmetics, tax vouchers, spare parts, calculators, high-end consumer goods, etc.  Those solutions not only work for brand protection but also enhance product image.

According to Chu, his most significant contribution to brand protection would be the introduction of single-image OVD hot stamped on cigarette packaging in 1995. This application had not existed before that time and is still being used successfully in China today.

Clarence Chu is a speaker at the PABS 08 Asia conference, December 4-5, 2008, in Hong Kong.
