InnovatED

Funded by IP Australia, InnovatED is a free, educational resource aimed at helping Australian teachers uncover their students' own creativity and imagination.

InnovatED was created by teachers for teachers and is designed to integrate with the Australian curriculum and provide a flexible, easy to use resource. It reveals the ideas that shape the world we live in and emphasizes the value of creativity and the very real opportunities it generates.

The goal of the innovated project is to stimulate innovation in Australia; to explore the creation and development of Intellectual Property and to empower young Australians through their own ideas. The project incorporates a number of interactive elements:
• The website for teachers - provides lesson plans, activities, resources and links.
• Ippy's Big Idea - provides great games and activities to help students explore their creativity and imagination as they discover the world of big ideas.
• The Big Ideas Network – helps students explore the world of ideas and innovation and allows them to see what makes ideas valuable and why it is important protect them.
• The Big Ideas CD Rom - takes students on an exciting journey; hunting for ideas, solving puzzles, and interacting with crazy characters.

InnovatED is funded by IP Australia - the federal government agency responsible for patents, trade marks and designs.
