Shiner International passes quality testing to supply anti-counterfeit films to Maotai Liquor Company, China's largest liquor company with an annual revenue of approximately $800 million.

Maotai is the largest liquor company in China with a rich history of almost three hundred years. Due to rampant product counterfeiting problems, brand name liquor and cigarette companies such as Maotai have suffered significant losses each year.

Enter Shiner International, Inc., a US public company that is China's leading manufacturer and marketer of four types of technology-driven packaging film products (anti-counterfeit films, coated films, BOPP films and color printed films) and owner of thirteen registered Chinese patents.

According to the company, its patented and unique anti-counterfeit packaging film is technically superior to the current hologram film offered by domestic competitors. Introduced only in 2005, the product has already brought in business from Sony music distributors in Shanghai and overseas tobacco manufacturers seeking to protect goods from piracy. It also brought Shiner several recognition awards in China. This is part of  the Chinese government's new focus on counteracting piracy to improve its global trade status.

Shiner anti-counterfeit film delivers the following advantages over traditional anti-counterfeit seals and security labels:

Furthermore, BOPP basic films can endure oil ink erosion, and have excellent water vapor barrier properties that help retain aroma and extend storage life. The laser holographic layer also improves the anti-static ability and prevents the conglutination of films.
