Judith A. Bresler is an attorney who lectures and writes extensively on art law and the business of art. She is co-author of the award-winning treatise, ART LAW: The Guide for Collectors, Investors, Dealers & Artists (First, Second and Third Editions), acclaimed as the “industry bible” by Forbes Magazine.
Ms. Bresler received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania and JD from New York Law School. Since then, she has taught art law as a member of the adjunct faculties of both New York Law School and the University of Pennsylvania Law School and was a senior faculty member of Sotheby's Institute of Art.
Ms. Bresler , who served as arbitrator on the National Roster of Neutrals of the American Arbitration Association and a mediator for the Commercial Division of the New York State Supreme Court, was honored by the New York State Bar Association for her efforts in Alternative Dispute Resolution. She is based in Withers Bergman's New York office.
