Guidelines
1. Articles should be timely, and focused on one the following topics or a reasonably related issue: brand protection, intellectual property, counterfeit activity, anti-counterfeit measures and technologies, laws and regulations governing such issues, events centering on the above issues. Content can be industry or region specific.
2. Articles should be vendor, service or product neutral.
3. Content should center an issue, trend, strategy, best practices, or solution relevant for our audience.
4. If you are not submitting an article for a specific editorial calendar opportunity, we will also consider your article for a web or newsletter publication.
5. We require a copyright release for all content prior to publication.
6. We reserve the right to edit articles for grammar, style and length.
7. Suggested maximum length is 1000 words.
8. Articles should be submitted in Microsoft Word format, while photographs and graphics should be sent in high-resolution jpgs.
9. Content must be the author's original work and accompanying images copyright free.
10. Proper credit must be given to the authors whose work is integrated into an article in the form of footnoted references. Citations must include: author's name, title of article or book, publication in which it first appeared or the location and publisher of the original publication. If you quote a person from a live event, that person must be cited by name, title of lecture and title of event (if relevant), location and date of the occurrence.
11. Supporting graphics can accompany an article and will be used if and when space limitations allow for it. Occasionally, we may have to recreate the graphic elements.
12. Use The AP Stylebook and previously published content as a guide.
13. When using acronyms, use the full term in the first instance followed by the acronym in parentheses, then use the acronym thereafter.
14. All submissions should be accompanied by brief author bios. Author bios should be limited to 80 words or less and include some or all the following:
o Name
o Title, Company (optional)
o Brief professional history
o Relevant organizational memberships
o A photograph (preferred)
15. Please let us know if you will be willing to:
o reply to talkbacks generated by your submission
o host a forum further exploring the article's content
o host a webinar on the articles content
16. There is no remuneration for published articles.
